This can commonly be overloaded during repetitive sports e.g. tennis or occupational activities e.g. using a mouse or a screwdriver.

When the muscle tendons are overloaded, there can be slight tearing of the muscle causing swelling and loss of strength, which will in turn cause pain.

The goal of tennis elbow treatment and rehabilitation is to help the patient return to the highest level of function and independence possible, while improving the overall quality of life–physically, emotionally, and socially.
